TRAVIS ROY - APRIL 17, 1975~OCTOBER 28, 2020

Patrick’s Promise Foundation will be forever grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Travis Roy. We immediately recognized that Travis was full of passion that over 20 years he turned into serving others in need. He depicted the ultimate goal of PPF, to have other’s backs when misfortune strikes.

Travis Roy started his foundation when tragedy struck his own life with a spinal cord injury playing hockey. After his accident he did nothing but display courage, grace and selflessness to others with spinal cord injuries.

All who had the opportunity to meet Travis were in awe of his warmth, humor and sincerity. His message to be true to yourself, set life goals, change those goals as life changes, respect and care for one another, and above all tell your family you love them, resonated with every audience he addressed. PPF was truly honored to work with such an inspiring man.

We at Patrick’s Promise Foundation will miss Travis tremendously but will hold him in our hearts forever.

PAST EVENTS PATRICKS PROMISE SHARED WITH TRAVIS ROY

We have been so proud to sponsor 5 Travis Roy speaking engagements. Travis has visited Wellesley High, Natick High, Algonquian Regional High, Marlborough High and Winchester High School on PPF’s behalf. Travis reaches out to his audience to offer tools such as setting immediate and future goals for ourselves while gently reminding us all that circumstances change, so we must be flexible in adjusting our goals.  He inspires his audience showing us how adversity can be overcome. He reminds each and every one of us to accept those that are different by reaching out to them with kind words and actions.

We thank both Travis, his team and each high school with their involvement.  We had amazing feedback from both staff and students.  Travis you always inspire and we wish you all the very best in the future!!
